Register your trademark in several countries with one application

WIPO's calculator shows only the official fees. We show the second-part fees that appear later and the service fee on the same screen.

How Madrid works

1

A single file is filed with WIPO based on your base trademark in Turkey.

2

WIPO notifies each country you select.

3

Each country examines according to its own laws; registration is completed in 12–18 months.

1Basic mark

A Madrid application requires a mark already registered or applied for in Türkiye.

Items the WIPO calculator does not show

The official calculator only gives the amount paid to WIPO. The items that determine the real cost are not visible there.

Eligibility requirement

A Madrid application requires a base trademark. Since the official calculator doesn't verify this, users without a base trademark discover too late they cannot apply.

Second-part fees

In countries like Japan, most of the fee is paid after the registration decision. The amount shown on the first screen may increase later; we display this separately.

Service fee

The WIPO tariff covers official fees only. File preparation, class definitions, and country monitoring make up the service fee; deciding without seeing the total is misleading.

Local representative requirement

Some countries require a local representative in case of rejection or appeal. This cost does not arise at application time but should be known upfront as a possible expense.
